SOTC Multimedia Group has worked to promote numerous interesting products ranging from tablets to cell phones, televisions to pro audio equipment. Television show and films love tech products or services, as it provides them with bragging rights on introducing the new “it” product or something to simply get the party started
In the case of Vinci early learning tablets, the brand was already receiving strong press in the tech arena. SOTC Multimedia Group suggested providing audiences with more of a “cool” factor to establish an emotional connection, rather than focusing only on the black & white of what the product does. We started off branding Vinci tablets internally in the film and television industries – garnering placements in shows like “Up All Night” and Showtime’s “Weeds”.
Our relationship with The Ellen Show allowed us access to Ellen’s Mother’s Day Special – when the studio audience is filled with pregnant women, and whose demographic caters to women with children. Vinci was introduced by guest celebrity host Nick Cannon alongside Ellen, then the product was provided to the studio audience and afterward – placed on Ellen’s online store for sale. The promotion crashed Vinci’s website 2 days in a row, and sales increased over 1,000% week over week.
Our next promotion for Vinci was in the popular franchise and history-making film, “Iron Man 3”. The plot of the film finds Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) in need of help from a young engineer, Harley (Ty Simpkins) – when the Iron Man suit breaks down. The Vinci tablet is hooked up to the Iron Man suit, and after button punching, Harley and Vinci fix the suit – saving the day, and saving the world from evil! After the film’s release, SOTC Multimedia Group created a promotion for Vinci, coordinating and leveraging a personal photo of the Vinci tablet with Ty Simpkins – and auctioning for charity a tablet Ty autographed.
By all accounts, the Vinci tablet is officially on the map!
