S.O.T.C. Multimedia Group introduces, facilitates global partnership between beer giant and top EDM DJ
When Anheuser Busch approached S.O.T.C. Multimedia Group in late 2013 with the question, "Bud Light Platinum would like to make a big play into electronic dance, can you help?", we obliged with a simple "Of course!" Several months and many details later, on April 22, 2014, the official public announcement was made - replacing Justin Timberlake with dance music superstar Steve Aoki as the new global face of Bud Light Platinum. The announcement was made at Aoki's press conference announcing his upcoming headlining show at New York City's Madison Square Garden - a milestone in his career.
The Aoki / Bud Light Platinum partnership ended up taking a true 360 degree perspective, and included one domestic national TV commercial (Bud Light Platinum), two international TV commercials (Corona, Skol), shows around the world (Canada, Brazil - World Cup, New York City - Super Bowl/Bud Light hotel, China, Mexico, Las Vegas), digital and social media partnership, tradeshow appearances, and POS materials. This 7-figure, 18-month long campaign was and still is - the biggest partnership in Aoki's illustrious and growing career!
Steve Aoki, Nicki Minaj, Diplo, Shaq, Nelly, and others joined forces with Bud Light to make Super Bowl XLIX a memorable one. Fans from around the country won a spot to "Whatever USA" at the Super Bowl in Phoenix, winning everything from tickets to these private concerts - to tickets to the Super Bowl!
